Brittany Johnson-Ta is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Speak Easy Mental Health Services. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from Walden University and is board certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She began her training at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2014. For over nine years, Brittany has cared
for adult patients in a variety of setting including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, correctional facilities, and assisted living facilities. She has dedicated much of her nursing career to serving individuals in Baltimore city and county communities. “I made a promise to become a healthcare advocate for a diverse group of individuals in the state of Maryland with the intention of narrowing the gaps of health disparities especially among minority populations”.

Brittany Johnson-Ta specializes in behavioral health and treating children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while utilizing evidence-based practices in her treatment planning. As a clinical practitioner, she has gained extensive experience delivering telehealth services to patients and educating the community on using telehealth to improve mental health awareness, access to care, and reducing the stigma of mental illness.
